The next two weeks will be busy for us. The last day of school is June 9 at 11:00 AM.

RELIGION We will talk about the the Gifts of the Spirit. The end-of-the-year mass will be at 9:45 AM on Friday, June 9.
READING We will read The Adventures of Jack and Laura from the Little House on the Prairie series, as we prepare for our Pioneer Day on June 8. (More details to come.) There will NOT be a test on Friday.
GRAMMAR/WRITING We will write narratives about how to have a fun summer.
PHONICS/SPELLING We will review commonly misspelled second grade words and complete various activities. There will NOT be a test on Friday.
SOCIAL STUDIES Our final unit for the year will be on pioneer life.
MATH We will review the concepts learned this year on Tuesday and Wednesday. Our end-of-the-year math test will be on Thursday and Friday. Homework for the week will be to practice addition and subtraction facts for the the final benchmark. Students should also review second grade math on IXL.
Homework for the Week - Most nights we will have math homework, and students should read 15 minutes each evening. Spelling should be studied each night, too. There may also be additional homework in Social Studies and Science. Studying for tests is part of homework, too!
